400 CONVERTEX delivered!

Windmӧller & Hӧlscher maintains the leading market and technology position in hot air sealing machines for block bottom bags AD PROTEX® made of coated woven PP, demonstrated by shipment of the 400th CONVERTEX to India in 2018. It is producing bags at a speed of 120 bags per minute.

Last year the W&H Woven division commissioned their 400th CONVERTEX block bottom converting machine. The celebratory machine was brought to the Indian sub-continent by M/s Samarth Fablon in West Bengal. The high-speed converting machine can produce up to 120 block bottom bags per minute. During his last service visit in January this year, W&H engineer Mr. Lovely Kumar confirmed that the machine is performing very well at its maximum production capacity.

Samarth Fablon is one of the largest suppliers of PP Woven sacks in India. The company has an established track record in the domain of polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sacks in eastern India. Mr. Bishnu Agarwal, Managing Director, who has a vast experience in the domain, had already bought W&H Block Bottom machine in 2009. This was India’s first Block Bottom machine which marked the genesis of block bottom bag manufacturing in India. The pioneering entrepreneur has been producing woven sacks since 1999.

Polypropylene sack manufacturing is a highly competitive industry with a large number of small-scale units leading to fragmentation. However, all major and experience industrialists trust investing in distinguished technology for staying ahead of the competition. With the installation of another W&H converting machine, Mr. Agarwal believes that their plant will continue to create a highly positive impact in the market. Extending further trust in W&H equipment, Mr. Agarwal spoke – “Our W&H plant is running well and we are very happy with the machines’ performance and the W&H Service. We decided to rely on W&H equipment once again for our facility”.

Creating a difference

Today, the group has the most unique combination of 7 W&H block bottom converting machines. The combined output capacity of all machines is a remarkable 500 block bottom bags per minute. No other woven production facility has such a versatile block-bottom converting configuration in India.

“Samarth Group has been a true partner for us. We are thankful to Bishnu ji for bestowing their trust in us once again.” – shares Anuj Sahni, General Manager – Sales & Marketing, W&H India
