400 CONVERTEX delivered!

Windmӧller & Hӧlscher maintains the leading market and technology position in hot air sealing machines for block bottom bags AD PROTEX® made of coated woven PP, demonstrated by shipment of the 400th CONVERTEX to India in 2018. It is producing bags at a speed of 120 bags per minute.

Last year the W&H Woven division commissioned their 400th CONVERTEX block bottom converting machine. The celebratory machine was brought to the Indian sub-continent by M/s Samarth Fablon in West Bengal. The high-speed converting machine can produce up to 120 block bottom bags per minute. During his last service visit in January this year, W&H engineer Mr. Lovely Kumar confirmed that the machine is performing very well at its maximum production capacity.

Record Production achieved on a W&H CONVERTEX at Kushal Plasto, India

On the day when the whole world was setting New Year milestones, W&H’s partner Kushal Plasto had geared high and head started with a record production – welcoming the year with a success badge. The engineers at Kushal’s Medchal plant achieved the highest-ever production of block bottom bags in a day. The team produced close to one hundred and fifty thousand AD ProTex bags from a single CONVERTEX machine. The management believes this success is owed to their expert team, efficient utilisation of resources, adherence to processes and use of high-quality fabric.

At present, Kushal has one-of-a-kind Greenfield project for production of AD ProTex bags in South India. Their new plant was inaugurated in August last year under the able leadership of Mr. K.C. New Delhi — Windmöller & Hölscher, on 2nd July, 2018, announced the availability of its Information & Diagnostic Center (IDC) for Woven machinery in India, in addition to the existing support for Extrusion, Printing and Converting. This facility will enable W&H woven sack equipment users in India to get immediate hotline and remote support. W&H Woven customers will now experience troubleshooting through expert telephonic support and in-depth analysis and problem solving by direct online remote access (for supported machines) to their machines. W&H renames BSW Machinery into W&H Machinery

Ten years ago W&H decided to strengthen its presence in the woven PP market by joining forces with BSW Machinery which had been founded by the 3 long term industry experts Thomas Breitenberger, Peter Schmalholz and Günter Wais with the goal to become a leading player in the woven bag machine industry. This goal has been reached and the company has been transformed from a start-up into a global technol-ogy leader. Through transfer of W&H products to BSW and through joint development of a world class production center in the Czech republic BSW was integrated step by step into the W&H Group. Now the next phase in the long term strategic plan will start under the new name Windmöller & Hölscher Machinery.

2005 BSW Machinery was founded in Austria. The founders merged the W&H woven bag industry portfolio with the knowhow of industry experts with the goal to become the leading producer of woven bag equipment. Cherat runs first converTex CL 140

Right after the presentation of the 65 gram bag, Cherat Packaging Pakistan and BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, announce another milestone in woven PP bag production. The new converTex CL 140 exceeds by far the speed of all other bottomers for cross bottom bags on the market. It is now fully oper-ational and successfully produces one hundred and forty 65 gram bags per minute 24 hours a day.

Designed for the specific needs of cement bags the converTex CL 140 represents a special execution of the proven converTex SLC 120. While the SLC 120 is a universal sack bottomer for up to 120 bags per minute depending on the size and format the CL 140 addresses the need for extra fast and efficient production of cement sacks. W&H woven PP subsidiary BSW expands sales and production

BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, reported strong orders in 2015. Over 20% growth compared with 2014 have resulted in a group approval for yet another building expansion at the company’s production facility in the Czech Republic close to Vienna.

A strong growth in orders is reported by BSW, Vienna. 2015 turned out to show recoveries in some countries where business climate had been affected by political crisis before. Still many other poten-tial customer regions do suffer. However, these areas will certainly require new investments in PP sack production once the crises have been mastered. Therefore, future expectations are positive at the company’s headquarters.
