CONVERTEX CL 140 produces 65 gram woven PP bags at record speed
Windmöller & Hölscher announced yet another milestone in woven PP bag production. The new converTex CL 140 by far exceeds the speed of all other bottomers for cross bottom bags on the market. The first machine is in production since July and successfully produces one hundred and forty 65 gram woven PP cement bags per minute 24 hours a day.
Windmöller & Hölscher spearheaded many innovations in woven PP. W&H renames BSW Machinery into W&H Machinery
Ten years ago W&H decided to strengthen its presence in the woven PP market by joining forces with BSW Machinery which had been founded by the 3 long term industry experts Thomas Breitenberger, Peter Schmalholz and Günter Wais with the goal to become a leading player in the woven bag machine industry. This goal has been reached and the company has been transformed from a start-up into a global technol-ogy leader. Through transfer of W&H products to BSW and through joint development of a world class production center in the Czech republic BSW was integrated step by step into the W&H Group. Now the next phase in the long term strategic plan will start under the new name Windmöller & Hölscher Machinery.

Cherat runs first converTex CL 140
Right after the presentation of the 65 gram bag, Cherat Packaging Pakistan and BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, announce another milestone in woven PP bag production. The new converTex CL 140 exceeds by far the speed of all other bottomers for cross bottom bags on the market. It is now fully oper-ational and successfully produces one hundred and forty 65 gram bags per minute 24 hours a day.
Designed for the specific needs of cement bags the converTex CL 140 represents a special execution of the proven converTex SLC 120. While the SLC 120 is a universal sack bottomer for up to 120 bags per minute depending on the size and format the CL 140 addresses the need for extra fast and efficient production of cement sacks. W&H woven PP subsidiary BSW expands sales and production
BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, reported strong orders in 2015. Over 20% growth compared with 2014 have resulted in a group approval for yet another building expansion at the company’s production facility in the Czech Republic close to Vienna.
A strong growth in orders is reported by BSW, Vienna. 2015 turned out to show recoveries in some countries where business climate had been affected by political crisis before. Still many other poten-tial customer regions do suffer. However, these areas will certainly require new investments in PP sack production once the crises have been mastered. Therefore, future expectations are positive at the company’s headquarters.

converTex SLC 120 for PP block bottom valve bags – highest output and ease of operation
Beginning of 2015, BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, broke its own previous production record of cross bottom valve sacks made of woven PP. The first converTex for production of 120 sacks per minute was deli-vered to Sadico in Vietnam. This machine is now in operation for one year and in the meantime several lines have been shipped to customers around the world. The result: highest production output and ease of operation.
The new converTex SLC 120 was completely redesigned around the proven opening station which already is in operation for many years on over thousand paper sack machines at even higher speeds. Adapted to the specific needs of PP fabric the opening station can easily handle the rate of 120 PP bags per minute.
